Help children to develop their knowledge of poetry with this PowerPoint on alliteration. It encourages them to come up with their own alliterative sentences by choosing an adjective, animal and verb beginning with the same letter. They will then read a fun poem about a visit to the zoo and are challenged to write their own.

This resource is also available in a handy Lesson Pack, containing a selection of worksheets and PowerPoints on Poetry.
