This PowerPoint can be used as a tool to help teach children about segmenting, blending and phonemes. Encourage the children to practise segmenting and blending the sounds back together to create the whole words. Help children to understand what a phoneme is and how to count them using their fingers. As a challenge, children can test out their skills by trying to sound-talk and segment some of their words with their friends.
