This 'word maker' activity is a great way to encourage children to practise thinking of and writing words that contain the 'ai' digraph. Can they choose an initial sound from the red circles, add 'ai' as the middle sound and then choose a final sound from the green circles to make a whole word? Challenge children to make as many real words as possible.
