Use this word sorting game to test children's ability to recognise the graphemes 'j', 'v', 'w', 'x', 'y', 'z', 'zz' and 'qu' within words. Encourage children to take turns to pick up a star card. They must read the word and decide whether it is a real word or a nonsense alien word and place it on the correct pile.
