Help children to develop their understanding of time and the sequencing of events with this activity. Cut out the picture cards that show a day in the life of Barney the Bear and read children the accompanying story. As they listen to each stage in Barney's day, children must identify the matching picture and attach it to a washing line. Once all of the picture cards are hung up, challenge children to tell the story themselves.
