Mind the Magpie — Adding Coins Money Game (Year 1)

This game is a fun way for children to practise adding money. They must take it in turns to roll the dice and move along the board. Landing on some spaces will mean that they gain a 1p, 2p or 5p coin, and landing on others will lead to their coins being stolen by a magpie. When all of the players have reached the end of the board, they must count their money — the player with the most wins.
